Landlord Tenant Law Legal Disclaimer

For Landlord’s Who Don’t Have Attorney Representation:

There are two distinct reasons as to why Linchpin Property Management cannot provide you with legal advice concerning your landlord tenant issue:

1. Unless you are in North Carolina, or your case is in Federal Court, our CEO, who is an attorney, is not licensed in your state. This means even though we may comment on your post, or provide you with some guidance, this doesn’t form the attorney client relationship, nor is it the providing of legal advice. Across all states, it can be construed as the Unauthorized Practice of Law in the respective state.

We can assist you in finding an attorney to suit your needs, but be cognizant of the fact that North Carolina courts are generally the only courts we are allowed to practice in.

2. Even if you are in North Carolina, we can’t represent you until we have entered into a formal agreement for representation. What this means is, that while the advice we give is readily available for anyone, there has to be an agreement in place for legal or property management representation. This agreement covers both you and us.
